It all started one day at the decoration store where I lived ever since I could remember. I has hanging on the wall next to my new friends Zeke and Paula. They were telling me about how cool the place looked and how they liked seeing all the different people that came in everyday. I was zoning out on the conversation because I was quite tired hearing what they were saying. I was a pinata and I wasn't quite sure what would happen when I was finally picked. No one knew for sure what would happen, but I knew it was something bad because no one who had left the store ever came back. I was sad and lately I was very temperamental and my new friends began to notice. I knew in my heart that pretty soon my time would come and I would have to face the inevitable. On that sunny day a little girl with brown pig tails came up to me and pointed. She was with her mother and the girl was all excited. She was yelling that I was the one and that I was perfect. I knew from then on that it was my time. Several days later I was strung up in the back yard and there were several children around. It looked as if a celebration was going on. I was hot and the sun was beating down on me. I couldn't have felt anymore miserable for I didn't know what was to become of me. That's when I noticed a group of children that began to walk by me looking at me with excitement. The little girl from the store was blind folded and had a bat placed in her hands. Oh no! I knew what was going to happen to me and I didn't know what to do because I was trapped. I began to be lowered and I felt like crying as the girl prepared to swing the bat at me. The little girl swung the bat. Whack! I felt a sharp pain and everything became dark. THE END
